iNARTE® Space & Defense Packaging Specialist ESD Training

Elevate Your Expertise with RMV’s NEW iNARTE® Certified Micro Courses!

Under the innovative leadership of Bob Vermillion, RMV CEO/Founder, CPP, Fellow, Certified ESD & Product Safety Engineer-iNARTE®, hundreds of individuals have been trained for iNARTE® Certified Space & Defense, iNARTE® ESD Program Monitor and iNARTE® Industry Coordinator courses.

RMV has proactively developed a few short courses that target the current and ever changing protocols for ESD workstations, Advanced Materials, Military and Commercial packaging options, plus material handling techniques of ultra-sensitive devices for Incoming Inspection to mitigate non-compliance of ESD materials and packaging.

In response to the escalation of engineered polymers in place of traditional practices, RMV has developed a specialized short course – No. 002-2025 – iNARTE® Certified Advanced ESD Polymer Protective Packaging Training™ for hands-on interactive platform of advanced polymers under R&D and/or in use for Industry and Government. Due to the risk of triboelectrification, polymers in use with projects or programs on land, air, sea and Space, mandate the requirement for testing in low RH and conditions outside the ESD Protected Area (EPA).

No. 001-2025 – iNARTE® Certified User/Operator Awareness Interactive & Hands-On Training™ (4 hrs)

NASA-STD-8739.6B, MIL. STD & ANSI/ESD S20.20 ESD Training is designed for the User/Operator that assembles, inspects, tests, kits, repairs, stores and handles ESD circuit card assemblies and EEE Parts (ESD Sensitive Devices) or equipment containing EEE Parts sensitive to electrostatic discharges (ESD). Proper ESD safe workstation practices, packaging, material handling protocols, sources and control of electrostatic charges in an interactive format are brought to life by NASA’s ESD Technical Authority.

No. 002-2025 – iNARTE® Certified Advanced ESD Polymer Protective Packaging Training™ (2.5 hrs)

Learn application specifics for Medical Device, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Space & Defense in harsh environments. Due to risk of triboelectrification, the ESD Polymer approval process for Form & Fit, JEDEC trays, Prototyping, Tape & Reel, Dip Tubes, Thermoforming, Vacuum forming, Additive Manufacturing for cost savings includes ESD Test Protocols for polymer packaging and the ESD Qualification Process for paper, film and polymer trays, hard cases and totes. Case histories of antistat issues for manufacturing, storage and transport with proven solutions are also discussed.

No. 003-2025 – iNARTE® Certified Space & Defense Packaging Specialist ESD Training™ (2 days)

Designed for personnel in the ESD Protected Area (EPA), factory, assembly, shipping/receiving, R&D, Repair Depots, In-Theatre, Warehousing and Incoming Inspection that package, assemble, inspect, test, kit, store or handle ESD Ultra-Sensitive circuit card assemblies and ESDS (ESD Sensitive Devices), EEE Parts or equipment containing ESDS.

Transport of packaging by air, during Winter and California Santa Ana wind conditions is also highlighted. This course is also intended for Medical Device, Automotive, Consumer Electronics and Contract Manufacturers that require adherence to low RH and conditions outside the EPA.

Group rates for US Military, NASA, US Veterans and Corporate team members. This course can be tailored to a specific program under contract or to update aging packaging requirements for your client or supplier.

Course No. 004-2025 – iNARTE® Certified Virtual/On-Site CubeSat Developer ESD Training™ (1 Day)

Vermillion’s innovative presentations for Cal Poly CubeSat Developer Workshop and Auburn University SmallSat Program have evolved into a short course for ESD Compliance of space-bound materials.
The NEW 1-day course is intended for NASA, DoD, US Military Academies and the SmallSat industry sector to mitigate damage or failure of CubeSats after deployment. ESD requirements for extreme conditions and low RH from CubeSat build to deployment are interactively presented for Virtual Trainng.

ESD/ESA electrostatic attraction and CubeSat Integrity, Equipment Standards, Reliability, Low RH ESD Testing Methods and correct usage of ESD Instrumentation and Case Studies are discussed. Current ESD Assessment Practices are reviewed for NASA 8739,6B, MIL.STD. and relevant ANSI/ESD Standards to ensure more success after deployment by NASA and DoD in collaboration with SBIR/STTR CubeSat awardees.

Industry CubeSat Developers also include Medical Device and Healthcare due to the low cost of R&D “on a pinhead” in deep space, rapidly growing for the innovators in the Consumer Electronics sector.
