What is an individual digital badge?
An individual digital badge is an image that contains verified metadata to describe your qualifications and the process required to earn them.
A digital badge is a digital representation of a learning outcome, experience, or competency. Based on the Open Badges Standard, Credly badges can be shared and verified online in a way that is easy and secure. Credly badges link to metadata that provides context and verification. They can be shared across the Internet for maximum visibility and recognition.
How is my certification or credential displayed as a digital badge?
Your digital badge allows you to share your credentials and achievements online in a way that is simple, trusted, and can be easily verified in real time. Your badge will be displayed in Exemplar LINK under ‘My Credentials’. You will also be able to know if an event, activity, or training is assigned a specific badge. Exemplar Global and iNARTE certifications will be recognized automatically with a badge that includes the relevant metadata to verify attainment.
Digital badges can also be shared on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, via email, and by embedding them in your email signature or website.
What are the benefits of digital badging?
Digital badges provide employers and peers with verified evidence of what you had to do to earn your credential and what you’re capable of.
Your digital badge is proof that you have earned recognition for a learning outcome, credential, association or professionally-relevant achievement.
By taking credit for your abilities and sharing your digital badge, you increase your chances of being noticed by your network and potential employers.
