Description
If you have ever wondered whether you could actually trust the value of a supplier’s certified management system, this presentation could help you work toward increasing accountability in third-party certification practices.
Members of QuEST Forum were, for many years, dissatisfied with the performance of some TL 9000 certified organizations. We hypothesized that some CBs were not auditing effectively.
Therefore, QuEST Forum collected data studied CB performance for several years. We introduced a Third-Party Effectiveness Verification Program (3P-EVP) in 2016. The 3P-EVP gives QuEST Forum the data needed to hold accreditation bodies accountable for their CBs’ effectiveness.
I will explain the goals, methods, and results of QuEST Forum’s 3P-EVP. The program could provide a model for increasing the effectiveness of ABs and CBs who work with many different industries and standards.
