David Solomon, executive officer for safety and risk for Master Builders in New South Wales, will discuss the progress of the development of ISO 45001, the first international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. The standard is being written by ISO/PC 283, on which Solomon has represented Australia for seven years. He’s held positions such as deputy task group leader of definitions and member of the editorial committee. More recently, he served as deputy convenor to a small working group that met in Denmark to work on the standard.
