Micro-training, sometimes referred to as micro-learning or micro-credentialing, is training that is delivered in small bite-sized learning units that demonstrates proficiency in a skill.
Micro-training courses are generally developed with a specific industry in mind and must meet industry-specific needs. In addition, the courses must be relevant to the industry and have scope to be recognized by future employers.
Training is delivered online and often takes the form of video content. However, there can be other methods of delivery too.
Micro-training is generally low-cost and recognizes learner proficiency. Once completed, participants receive a digital badge to validate this.
