iNARTE Apply for Certification

How do I check on the status of my application for certification?

You can check on the status of your application for certification via our Exemplar LINK platform at www.exemplarlink.org. At the top-level navigation, select the ‘Manage My Certifications’ button and from the drop- down menu choose the iNARTE option. From there, select the ‘Current Certifications’ tab. You will then be taken through to the ‘Applications in Progress’ page where you can check the status of your certification application.

How do I apply for certification?

Before you apply for certification, please ensure that you meet all the requirements specific to the scheme you wish to apply for. You can review those requirements on our website. These can be found by clicking on the ‘Individual Auditors’ tab at the top-level navigation of our homepage. From the drop-down menu, select the ‘Browse All Certifications’ option. From there, you will be taken to a page that features the different categories of certifications we offer, including Electrostatic Discharge, Product Safety, etc. Select the scheme you are are interested in and click the ‘Learn More’ button. You will then be taken through to your selected scheme page. From there,  click on the ‘Download Certification Requirements’ button on the right hand side of the page. Please review the requirements carefully to ensure that you meet the scheme, grade and scope requirements.

If you are a new customer, you will need to create an account with Exemplar LINK, our customer portal platform. You can access Exemplar LINK via www.exemplarlink.org or via the Exemplar LINK login button on our website. From there, you can enter your contact details and create your account.

Once you have an account, either as a new customer or as an existing customer, you can apply for certification by following these steps:

  1. Login to Exemplar LINK at www.exemplarlink.org.
  2. Click on the ‘Manage My Certifications’ button, located at the top-hand navigation.
  3. Click on the ‘Apply for Certification’ button.
  4. Select the category of certification you are interested in, such as Electromagnetic Compatibility.
  5. Click on the specific certification you wish to apply for, such as EMC Engineer.
  6. Select Qualification-Based certification, if prompted. This will vary by scheme.
  7. Review the the certification, recertification, and expansion requirements relevant to your scheme and grade, and click the ‘Continue to Scopes’ button  at the bottom of the page. Please refer to the PDF Scope document for criteria.
  8. Select any scopes you wish to apply for and click on the ‘Continue To Code of Conduct’ button at the bottom of the page.
  9. Tick the box next to each item in the Code of Conduct. By doing so, you agree to adhere to this code. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your certification. Click on the ‘Continue To Authorisation’ button.
  10. If your organization has given you an authorisation code, please enter it here and click the ‘Validate’ button. If not, click on the ‘Continue to Payment’ button.
  11. Carefully review your application information and payment options.
  12. Finally, click the ‘Pay Now’ button. Please note that all fees are non-refundable, so ensure you meet the certification requirements before applying for certification. Also, we are required to collect GST from our Australian customers.

Once we have received your application, an Exemplar Global certification specialist will contact you if any additional information or steps are required.

How long does it take to process my application for certification?

It usually takes between seven to 10 business days to complete this process. However, this is provided that all supporting documents have been uploaded by the applicant.

 

Where are the documents I uploaded in support of my application for certification?

Once you submit your application for certification, you will not be able to see the documents you have uploaded to support your application. Please contact your certification specialist or info@exemplarglobal.org if you need assistance.

Accreditation

Is Exemplar Global accredited?

Exemplar Global is accredited under ISO/IEC 17024:2012 Conformity assessment – General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons, from the International Accreditation Service (IAS). This means we are approved to provide services that fall under the scope of accreditation in the SQF System and Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000) areas.

Apply for Certification

How do I apply for certification?

Before you apply for certification, please ensure that you meet all the requirements specific to the scheme you wish to apply for. You can review those requirements on our website. These can be found by clicking on the ‘Individual Auditors’ tab at the top-level navigation of our homepage. From the drop-down menu, select the ‘Browse All Certifications’ option. From there, you will be taken to a page that features the different categories of certifications we offer, including Education Systems, Food Safety Systems etc. Select the scheme you are are interested in and click the ‘Learn More’ button. You will then be taken through to your selected scheme page. From there,  click on the ‘Download Certification Requirements’ button on the right hand side of the page. Please review the requirements carefully to ensure that you meet the scheme, grade and scope requirements.

If you are a new customer, you will need to create an account with Exemplar LINK, our customer portal platform. You can access Exemplar LINK via www.exemplarlink.org or via the Exemplar LINK login button on our website. From there, you can enter your contact details and create your account.

  4. Select the category of certification you are interested in, such as Quality Systems.
  5. Click on the specific certification you wish to apply for, such as Quality Management System Auditor.
  6. Select Qualification-Based certification, if prompted. This will vary by scheme.
  7. Select your desired grade. Please note that only customers with at least 12 years of continuous certification with Exemplar Global may choose the Master Auditor grade.
  8. Review the the certification, recertification, and expansion requirements relevant to your scheme and grade, and click the ‘Continue to Scopes’ button  at the bottom of the page. Please refer to the PDF Scope document for criteria.
  9. Select any scopes you wish to apply for and click on the ‘Continue To Code of Conduct’ button at the bottom of the page.
  10. Tick the box next to each item in the Code of Conduct. By doing so, you agree to adhere to this code. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your certification. Click on the ‘Continue To Authorisation’ button.
  11. If your organization has given you an authorisation code, please enter it here and click the ‘Validate’ button. If not, click on the ‘Continue to Payment’ button.
  12. Carefully review your application information and payment options.
  13. Select a payment option and enter your payment details. Please note that you may choose to pay your annual fees monthly. However, this will only take effect with your next annual fee.
  14. Finally, click the ‘Pay Now’ button. Please note that all fees are non-refundable, so ensure you meet the certification requirements before applying for certification. Also, we are required to collect GST from our Australian customers.

Once we have received your application, an Exemplar Global certification specialist will contact you if any additional information or steps are required.

How long does it take to process my application for certification?

Do you recognize certification from other bodies?

There are current agreements with ICRA/CQI, PECB, and the CCAA to recognize certification. Applicants must be able to demonstrate holding a current certification with one of the above mentioned bodies in order to qualify.

How long is my training certificate valid?

Exemplar Global recognizes training completed with training providers who have held or currently hold certification with us under our current name or previous trading names (RABQSA, QSA, RAB) for 10 years from the date the training was completed. These are for our management system schemes, such as QMS, EMS, OHS, etc.

Some of our schemes require a training certificate to have been issued within the last three years. Please check the specific certification requirements for the scheme you wish to apply for. If your training was completed outside of the training requirement time, you may need to complete a relevant knowledge examination, if available. If a knowledge examination is not available, this may be substituted with an audit log showing relevant audit experience. If you choose this method, we require that you show evidence of 10 audit days reflecting the specific scheme (e.g, QMS, EMS, OHS, etc.) and grade (i.e., auditor or lead auditor) you wish to apply for. Importantly, the audit dates captured in your log need to have been conducted within the past three years.

Can I post a help wanted ad on your site?

Yes, you may post jobs on our Career Center page which features on the Exemplar Global website. To access our Career Center, visit www.exemplarglobal.org and head to the ‘Resources’ tab located at the top-level navigation of the homepage. From the drop-down menu, select the ‘Career Center’. Once you are in the Career Center, select the ‘Employers’ tab at the top of the screen and from the drop down menu select ‘Post a Job’.

How do I access the Exemplar Global Career Center?

To access our Career Center, visit our website at www.exemplarglobal.org and select the ‘Resources’ tab located at the top-hand navigation of the homepage. From the drop-down menu, select the Career Center. Once you are in the Career Center, select the ‘Job Seekers’ tab at the top of the page. Once you are there, you can browse and apply for jobs. You can also upload your resume and subscribe to job alerts.

Digital Badging

What is digital badging?

A digital badge (or digital credential) is a virtual, graphical representation of the competencies of yourself (as a professional individual) or as an organization. This is combined with a verifiable description of the knowledge and activities it took for you/your organization to earn a digital badge.

Exemplar Global partnered with Credly for our digital badging program. Based on the Open Badges Standard, Credly’s digital badges can be shared and verified online in a way that is easy and secure. Credly badges also link to metadata that provides context and verification. They can be shared online for maximum visibility and recognition.

What are the benefits of a digital badge?

In essence, a digital badge allows you to share your credentials with your networks in a simple and trusted way to communicate your skills and achievements. Our digital badges can also be verified by third parties to provide extra assurance that you/your organization can deliver at the highest level. This will help you boost your career and business profile, while also building trust in and recognition of your skills and career/business achievements.

The beauty of a digital badge is that it is instant and shareable. By taking credit for your abilities and sharing your digital badge, you increase your chances of being noticed by your network and potential employers. What kind of digital badges are available through Exemplar LINK?

We now have more than 140 digital badges available to our customers through Exemplar LINK across four categories. These include:

  • Experience: events, volunteering, project participation
  • Learning: self-led learning, soft skills, professionalism, competencies, product knowledge
  • Validation: learning and assessments, portfolio/evidence, peer review, certificate programs
  • Certification: credentials, industry certifications/licences.

Does Exemplar Global offer digital badges to organizations?

We are committed to providing all of our customers with the tools necessary to achieve their goals, including our training provider partners.

To fulfil this, we have extended our badging program to our certified training providers by offering organizational digital badges. These provide verified evidence of the competencies of our training provider organizations. By doing this, they will also build trust in and recognition of their brand in a competitive global training marketplace.

Specifically, these comprise the Recognized Training Provider (RTP) and Training Provider and Examiner Certification Scheme (TPECS) badges.

How does my certification or credential get displayed as a badge?

We have partnered with Credly to translate your certifications and learning outcomes into a badge. The technology behind the badge is based on the Open Badge Standards maintained by IMS Global. This enables you to manage, share, and verify your competencies digitally.

Badges will be displayed in Exemplar LINK under ‘My Credentials’. You will also be able to know if an event, activity, or training is assigned a specific badge. Exemplar Global and iNARTE certifications will be recognized automatically with a badge that includes the relevant metadata to verify you have gained certification with us.

How do I share my digital badge?

To maximize the visibility of your badge, we encourage you to share it on your social media accounts (LinkedIn,
Facebook, Twitter), via email and by embedding it in your email signature or website.

When sharing your badge on social media, please ensure that you tag Exemplar Global in your posts so we can see them as well. To tag us in your posts, please insert the @ symbol before typing in ‘Exemplar Global’.

Does my digital badge have to be displayed publicly?

No, you can easily configure your privacy settings to ensure you don’t display your digital badge publicly.

You’re in complete control of the information about yourself that is made public in Exemplar LINK and in the Credly platform.

What’s to keep someone else from copying my badge and using it?

While our digital badges are simply digital image files, they are uniquely linked to data hosted on the Credly platform. This link to verified data makes them more reliable and secure than using paper-based certificate. It also gives you the added protection of eliminating the risk of anyone claiming your credential and your associated identity.

Why does the expiry date on my certificate reflect only one year?

Exemplar Global offers two basic types of certification. These are a management systems certification, which are certifications based on an ISO standard (such as ISO 9001) and industry certification. Industry certification is based on specific requirements set by an organization outside Exemplar Global, such as the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) or a state or federal government (e.g. the Western Australia Heavy Vehicle Auditor scheme).

If you are certified to one of our management systems schemes (such as QMS, EMS, OHS, etc.), your certification is now continuous. This means it will not expire provided you continue to pay your fees, adhere to our code of conduct, and complete any required assessments such as the Work Style Assessment and any required transition assessments. However, even though it is a continuous certification, it will show an annual expiration date.

If you are certified to one of our industry schemes, your certification expiration date will vary by scheme and by the term of certification you have selected, such as one or four years.

What is the difference between an annual and recertification fee?

Your annual fee and recertification fee reflect your grade of certification and are the same price. Note that if you are certified under one of our management system schemes (those based on an ISO standard), such as QMS, EMS, OHS, etc., you will not be charged a recertification fee as certification is now continuous for these schemes. Instead of being charged a recertification fee, you will only be charged an annual fee.

 

My payment is being rejected through the customer portal in Exemplar LINK. What do I do?

Firstly, check the way you have entered your credit card details complies with our system’s process (which is numerical only).

When entering the expiration date of your credit card, ensure only numerals are entered. For example: enter 1220 for December 2020 and not 12/20.

If you continue to have issues, you can get in touch with our Finance team. To do this, head to the ‘About Us’ tab in the top right hand corner of the homepage of our website. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Contact Us’ and click on ‘Payment & Billing Enquiries’ option in the ‘Enquiry Type’ section.

How do I download my Exemplar Global auditor certificate?

To download your auditor certificate, head to our Exemplar LINK platform at www.exemplarlink.org and log in.

Once you are logged in, click on the ‘Manage My Certifications’ tab on the top-level navigation. You will see two options from the drop-down menu, Exemplar Global and iNARTE. Select your preferred option. On the next page click on the ‘Current Certifications’ button which is located at the top right hand corner of the featured options. From there, click on the ‘Print Certificate’ link. This will enable you to download your certificate.

How do I pay my annual fee?

To pay your annual fee, head to Exemplar LINK at www.exemplarglobal.org and login using your login details.

Once you are logged in, click on the ‘Manage My Certifications’ tab located at the top-hand navigation. From the drop-down menu, you can select iNARTE or Exemplar Global. Once you have made your selection, click on the ‘Unpaid Invoices’ button that features as one of the options at the top of the page. Select the invoice for payment of your annual fee and click ‘Pay Now’.

How do I download my receipt/invoice?

To download a copy of your receipt or invoice, head to www.exemplarlink.org and login using your login details.

Once you are logged in, select the ‘Manage My Certifications’ tab at the top-level navigation. Two options will feature from the drop-down menu, iNARTE and Exemplar Global. On the next page, select the ‘Paid Invoices’ option on the top row. This will give you the ability to download a copy of your receipt or invoice.

How do I obtain my Exemplar Global Graduate of Certifed Course digital badge?

Once you have completed an Exemplar Global Certified Course and your training provider uploads your details to Exemplar Global, you will automatically be issued with your Exemplar Global Graduate of Certified Course digital badge from Credly®.  

To accept your Exemplar Global Graduate of Certified Course digital badge from Credly®, you can either accept via the email you will receive, or head to our Exemplar LINK platform at www.exemplarlink.org and log in. 

Once you are logged in, click on the ‘My Credentials’ tab on the top-level navigation. You will see a blue alert at the top of the page advising you have unaccepted badges. Click the button to accept your badge and manage your preferences.  

You will be redirected to the Credly® platform to accept, manage and share your new digital badge! Please note that you will need to create a Credly® account if you do not already have one.

How long is an Exemplar Global Graduate of Certified Course digital badge valid for?

An Exemplar Global Graduate of Certified Course digital badge is valid for 12 months. 

Insurance

Does Exemplar Global provide professional liability insurance?

Yes, we offer professional liability insurance to our U.S and Australian customers through third-party insurance providers. For more information visit our website at www.exemplarglobal.org and select the Resources tab, which is located at the top navigation of the homepage. From the drop down menu, select ‘Liability Insurance’. This is where you will find further information about the insurance providers and their product offerings in Australia and the U.S.

Exemplar Global does not receive any compensation from the sales of insurance through these third-party providers. Please contact the insurance provider directly for more information or to take up an insurance program with them.

Posting a Help Wanted Ad

Recertification

How do I submit my recertification application?

Firstly you will need to login to Exemplar LINK via www.exemplarlink.org. Once you are logged in, select the ‘Manage My Certifications’ tab located at the top-level navigation of the page. From there, select the ‘Current Certifications’ option at the top right hand corner. Once you are in this section, click on the ‘Recertification’ tab. This will give you the ability to submit your application.

Please note that not all of our schemes have a recertification requirement. Check the requirements for you particular area/specialization.

What happens if I don’t recertify or maintain my certification?

If you fail to meet our recertification requirements or do not maintain your certification, your certification will be made inactive and your details will be removed from the Exemplar Global Search Register.

Training

Does Exemplar Global provide training?

Exemplar Global does not provide the training required to become an auditor. Our core focus is to certify training providers that specialize in conducting training services to become an auditor. These organizations are part of our network of certified and recognized training providers. Although we don’t provide training directly, Exemplar Global does have a number of other options available to our certified professionals to help enhance their career. These include webinars (both live and on-demand), online events and Expos.

Updating Your Information

How do I update my personal details?

You can update your personal details via our Exemplar LINK platform, at www.exemplarlink.org. Once you are logged in, click on the ‘My Details’ tab which is located at the top-level navigation of the page.  From here, you can update your personal details. Once you have completed all of your updates, click the ‘Save’ button which is located at the bottom of the page.

Upgrade/Expand Certification

Where are the documents I uploaded in support of my application for certification?

Once you submit your application for certification, you will not be able to see the documents you have uploaded to support your application. Please contact your certification specialist or info@exemplarglobal.org if you need assistance.

How do I check on the status of my application for certification?

How do I submit an expansion application for my certification?

You can submit an expansion application for certification via Exemplar LINK, at www.exemplarlink.org. Once you are logged in, select the ‘Manage My Certifications’ tab which is located at the top-hand navigation of the site. From there, select the ‘Apply For Certification’ button and choose the certification program  that you wish to expand. Follow the prompts through the application process. You will be presented with three options for your application: ‘New Application’, ‘Recertification’ and ‘Expansion’. Select the ‘Expansion’ option.

How long is my training certificate valid?

Exemplar Global recognizes training completed with training providers who have held or currently hold certification with us under our current name or previous trading names (RABQSA, QSA, RAB) for 10 years from the date the training was completed. These are for our management system schemes, such as QMS, EMS, OHS, etc.

Some of our schemes require a training certificate to have been issued within the last three years. Please check the specific certification requirements for the scheme you wish to apply for. If your training was completed outside of the training requirement time, you may need to complete a relevant knowledge examination, if available. If a knowledge examination is not available, this may be substituted with an audit log showing relevant audit experience. If you choose this method, we require that you show evidence of 10 audit days reflecting the specific scheme (e.g, QMS, EMS, OHS, etc.) and grade (i.e., auditor or lead auditor) you wish to apply for. Importantly, the audit dates captured in your log need to have been conducted within the past three years.

What is the Work Style Assessment?

Our industry-leading Work Style Assessment (WSA) is a sophisticated career and self-coaching development tool that provides an objective way for our customers (auditors) to discover their unique personality traits. They will also learn how these traits can be best applied when they are working on the job.

To form the basis of the WSA, a team of job experts, auditing professionals, and psychometricians completed a job analysis and profile for each auditor role. Job profiling enables employers to develop a profile and description of the ideal candidate’s characteristics and workstyle for a specific position. The results generated create a clear description of the traits and workstyles that will make a difference when working in an auditing role.

All Exemplar Global certified professionals are asked to complete the WSA as part of their application process and every three years thereafter. Non-Exemplar Global certified professionals can also complete the WSA as part of their professional development.

What benefits will I gain from completing the Work Style Assessment?

By completing the Work Style Assessment (WSA), you gain a deeper understanding of your skills, capability and performance as an auditor and how you can maximize these in a working environment.

The results generated from the WSA will give you insights about your individual strengths as an auditor; coaching and self-managing considerations that will be beneficial for your career and areas to consider for your professional development.

What is the process of completing the Work Style Assessment?

Completing our Work Style Assessment (WSA) is easy. It takes approximately 15 minutes from start to finish and there are no right or wrong answers, it’s all about giving auditors a better understanding about themselves and their preferred workstyles.

Getting the results is also easy. A PDF report is emailed to respondents within one hour of completing their WSA.
