Technical Advisory Notice Update: Exemplar Global Announces New Editions of ISO 14001:2015 TCC Requirements and EM Competency Unit

Milwaukee, Sydney, Seoul: The following Exemplar Global Training Course Requirements and Competency Units have been updated to reflect the most current version of the ISO 14001:2015 standard:

The new editions of the EMS Training Course Requirements, EM Competency Unit, and corresponding Examination Profile are now available.

Impact for TCC and TPECS Training Providers

Exemplar Global certified TCC and TPECS providers offering training and/or examination in any one of the TCC and/or TPECS courses listed above shall review their current course and/or examinations against the new editions of the Exemplar Global TCC Requirements and TPECS Competency Unit(s), and update their course and/or examination materials to ensure that the updated learning objectives and/or competencies are adequately measured by the course materials and/or examinations.

What Training Providers are required to submit to Exemplar Global

Training providers are required to submit the following to their Exemplar Global Training Certification Examiner:

All Training Providers must have their updated materials reviewed by October 1, 2016. An effort will be made to conduct this document review during the Training Provider’s regularly scheduled re-certification evaluation or annual evaluation, whichever occurs first.

Training Providers that require this document review in addition to their normal annual evaluations will be required to the pay the document review fee(s), as per the current Fee Calculator.

Training Providers whose annual evaluation or re-certification evaluation is due after October 1, 2016, are encouraged to contact their Exemplar Global Training Examiner to make arrangements for the document review at least 60 days prior to deadline to ensure no lapse in certification status.

Exemplar Global understands that the market may demand the need for training and/or examination to the ISO 14001:2004 standard for a period of time. To accommodate the market demand, Training Providers that wish to continue to offer  training and/or examination to the ISO 14001:2004 version of the standard and offer updated training to the ISO 14001:2015 version of the standard, must ensure that the wording on the certificates of completion and/or attendance, clearly identifies the relevant standard. Training Providers shall discontinue offering and/or advertising Exemplar Global certified training and/or examinations to the ISO 14001:2004 version of the standard on October 1, 2016.
