Firstly, this month I must say a few words about the unprecedented COVID-19 situation. Unprecedented is an often-overused word, but there is no doubt that it is absolutely the right word for this. At Exemplar Global, we have friends and customers all over the world and our thoughts and concerns are with each and every one of you. We understand the businesses you are in and that means that we understand that there are going to be difficult times ahead. Keeping well is foremost priority and hopefully as you all do that, we must consider keeping business going. We understand that trainers will not be offering as many, if any, face to face training courses. Consider whether you can offer online, remote training. We will accept and support that. For auditors, we understand that you may not be able to visit customer sites to audit. Consider using remote audit techniques. We are developing certifications to facilitate the recognition of those skills.
If you do find yourself with more time, consider using the time to do some online training and personal development that you can use when things begin to improve. Our Food Safety Expo online conference is currently open as we provide more opportunities for you to keep up to date and stay ahead of the latest happenings in the world of auditing. That at least has not been affected by travel restrictions! In recent years we have introduced virtual conferences that you can attend from anywhere, for as long or as short as you want, at any time of day or night. “Learning while earning” could be our motto! We hope this fits in with your busy lives much better. To date we have been delighted with the uptake of these events. You will see more of these events from Exemplar Global in the future. Our latest event, the Food Safety Expo, is on now until March 30. The event features 13 on-demand sessions presented by some excellent speakers in the food safety sector. Please, join us. For us, we greatly value seeing and talking with our customers, but unfortunately we cannot do that either at the moment—at least not face to face.
