A Message from the President and CEO, August 2021

Another successful Online Auditor Expo has drawn to a close and once again we were delighted that so many of you registered and joined us for the event. Thank you all! Our deep appreciation goes out to those that agreed to make one of our 37 fantastic presentations. Without you, the event would not be possible. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the sponsors of the event. It is our hope that everyone who attended the Online Auditor Expo found the event to be helpful to the development of your own career pathway. One feature of the event this year was four live presentations, one of which I undertook with Keith Phillips of QLBS. Keith and his team have partnered with us to ‘power’ an idea that we launched for the first time at the Online Auditor Expo: the Exemplar Global Audit Simulator—powered by QLBS. We believe that this new endeavor is a first, as it is intended to allow auditors an opportunity to gain experience with real scenarios put together by professional auditors. Having worked through the scenario and drawn a conclusion, you can compare your interpretation with that of professional auditors, just as ‘food for thought.’ Gaining confidence from the experience is the aim and this powerful tool can be tailored to your own sector, standard, or scenario. Finally, I would also like to encourage you all to mark your calendars now for our next big event, the Future of Auditing Expo starting on October 1. It might seems a bit in the future but trust me it will be here before we know it! This is shaping up to be quite an interesting opportunity to learn from some of the best minds in our profession, presenting on important topics for today and tomorrow: remote auditing, Quality 4.0, auditing using cloud-based technologies, and much more.
